Mantle Group Hospitality Opens The Squire’s Landing at Circular Quay

Mantle Group Hospitality has opened The Squire’s Landing, James Squire’s newest Brewhouse at Circular Quay in Sydney. A visual phenomenon, The Squire’s Landing is a two-storey restaurant, offering upstairs and downstairs dining with unparalleled views of Sydney’s most famous landmarks.

The Squire’s Landing tells the legendary tale of James Squire, a convict on the First Fleet and Australia’s first brewer. The venue has been architecturally designed by Collins & Turner and has maintained and expressed the original structural steel detailing of the 1988 Lawrence Nield and Peter Tonkin renovation of the Overseas Passenger Terminal. A warm palette using natural materials such as reclaimed spotted gum, copper and zinc, embody James Squire’s story and makes for a warm and welcoming place to enjoy a beer.

To complement the full James Squire range available on tap, Mantle Group Hospitality’s Executive Chef, Deniz Coskun, together with Head Chef, Angus Harrison, have designed a comprehensive menu. The stunning upstairs restaurant offers a menu with intricate dishes using fresh seasonal produce. Mantle Group Hospitality is proud to maintain great partnerships with local suppliers – these partnerships are crucial to the group’s commitment in delivering ethically sourced and sustainable produce. Suppliers and their produce are referenced throughout the menu.

State of the art equipment in the kitchen include an iron bark coal pit responsible for slow cooking various meats daily. An open wood fire grills 1.4kg Tomahawk steaks and 60 day dry aged sirloin steaks perfectly and a tantalising selection of vegetarian and seafood dishes are also available. The restaurant offers 270 degree views from Sydney Harbour Bridge, stretching around to Sydney Opera House and beyond. These views, accompanied by a stunning menu, make for the perfect dinner destination.

Downstairs, a more casual dining approach attracts guests looking for a quick bite to eat and a brew to quench their thirst. They will not be short of Sydney Harbour views with an outside alfresco dining space offering an unrivalled open air experience. Popular ‘pub classics’ include handmade beef burgers, fish and chips doused in James Squire beer batter and hand stretched pizzas. Mantle Group Hospitality has also acquired a custom-made Manhorne BBQ smoker which delivers a distinct taste, not achievable in any other method of cooking. The smoker is a major drawcard for guests looking for a unique dining experience.
